Mark Sisco

I’ve been in the antiques and arts business since February of 1973 when I moved to Maine, straight out of college, to manage an antique shop with my parents. Shortly thereafter, I borrowed $2000 to purchase an antique blacksmith’s shop, and ventured out on my own. That was the start of a 50+ year career.

Since then, I’ve bought and sold millions of dollars worth of antiques and arts of all kinds. I’ve written over 1,000 articles for one of the major trade papers in the industry. And I’ve appraised over 20,000 items, with individual values from $5 to $50,000,000.

LAWRENCE TRUEMAN

I earned my BA from USM in Portland in American Studies. In 1982 I began working for a major Southern Maine auction house where I was able to handle top notch antiques,firearms, paintings and decoys. In 1986 I became a licensed federal firearms dealer. After graduating from the Reppert School of auctioneering, I started Trueman Auction company in 1988. My first catalogue auction realized just over $50,000. In 2003 I moved to New Hampshire where I began working as the auctioneer and consignment coordinator for a firearms auction company. In 2005 I returned to Maine and Trueman Auction Company became LT Auctions. MATTHEW POTTER

I grew up overseas and was blessed with exposure to an array of the world’s museums and cultures.  That was the cornerstone to my passion for art and antiques leading me to studying Art History academically and then a 20+ year career in the auction business, eventually holding executive positions with two of the largest international auction houses. I have overseen the sale of significant collections of art, antiques, coins, and collectibles, including paintings that have sold for hundreds of thousands to millions. I now have my own art, antiques and collectibles appraisal practice in which I provide assistance to fiduciary professionals, institutions and private collectors in all aspects of the appraisal and liquidation of collectible tangible assets.
